Certified for GCC markets.
Navigating customs regulations across six GCC countries can be complex. We handle all the certification paperwork so you can focus on your project. Every Yakeen Lighting order ships with complete documentation for smooth customs clearance in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain.
What "certified" means — and what it doesn't
On this page, "certified" means a third-party certification body has tested our products and issued a certificate (SASO, G-Mark, CE, CB, RoHS). For photometric and performance testing, we work with accredited third-party and partner laboratories following industry-standard methods — documented on our Testing & Quality page.
Certifications for each GCC market.
Every GCC country has its own certification framework and customs entry requirements. Our standard product lines hold third-party certifications for all six markets, and we provide the exact documentation needed for each destination.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are your products already certified for my country?
Yes — our standard product lines carry SASO 2902 (Saudi) and G-Mark (GCC-wide) certification, providing market access across all six GCC countries. Where a destination additionally requires national registration — MOIAT ECAS (UAE), KUCAS (Kuwait) — we arrange it per order as part of the project. Custom products may require additional certification which we handle as part of the project.
How long does certification take for custom products?
For custom or project-specific products, certification typically takes 4-8 weeks depending on the destination country and product complexity. We start the certification process in parallel with product development to minimize delays. We always recommend factoring certification time into your project schedule, especially for new product types.
What's the difference between SASO, SABER, and SCoC?
SASO is the Saudi Standards Organization that sets the standards. SABER is the electronic platform (Saudi Product Safety Program) where certificates are issued and managed. PCoC (Product Conformity Certificate) is the product-level certificate that's valid for 1 year. SCoC (Shipment Conformity Certificate) is issued per shipment and is what customs actually checks at the border. We handle all of these for you.
Do I need to be registered with customs in each country?
Yes — the party bringing goods into the country must be registered with customs authorities in the destination market. This is a requirement of the customs authorities, not the certification bodies. We can advise on what's needed, but your local customs agent or freight forwarder handles the registration process. We provide all the product-side documentation needed for clearance.
What is G-Mark and does it replace national certifications?
The GCC Conformity Mark (G-Mark) is a Gulf-wide quality mark indicating that a product meets GCC standard requirements. Products with G-Mark can circulate across all six GCC member states. However, some countries (notably Saudi Arabia and UAE) also require their own national registration (SASO SABER and MOIAT ECAS respectively). We hold both G-Mark and individual national registrations where needed.
What if customs has questions about my shipment?
We provide full support through the customs clearance process. If customs authorities have questions or require additional documentation, we respond promptly with whatever is needed. In the rare event of a certification issue, we work directly with the relevant certification body to resolve it. Our goal is zero customs delays for your project.
Do you provide energy efficiency certificates?
Yes — energy efficiency registration is a key part of GCC lighting regulations. Our standard LED product lines are registered under SASO 2902 EER for Saudi Arabia, and we arrange MOIAT energy efficiency registration for the UAE and equivalent schemes in other GCC countries per order. We provide the energy efficiency labels and registration numbers as part of our documentation package.
Can you support Saudi Building Code (SBC) requirements?
Yes — we're familiar with Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC) requirements and Saudi Building Code (SBC) provisions related to lighting. Our products meet the minimum efficacy requirements and we can provide the documentation needed for project approval and municipal inspection. We also support daylight harvesting and occupancy sensing controls to help meet energy code requirements.
Need documentation for your project?
We'll provide a complete documentation package tailored to your destination country. No surprises at customs.
